Travel Themed Wedding

Sandy loves to travel. She was our group's travel expert (spelled as: booking officer/travel guide/itinerary composer). She and her then fiance, Elmer lived and worked apart for awhile so when they started making plans to wed, Sandy already had in mind the perfect theme for their "Vow" day. --- a TRAVEL themed wedding! 

And since blue is her favorite color, we incorporated it to the theme she had in mind and added green to represent land, sky, and water. 

The souvenirs were travel pillows and bag tags. The cake design was that of a globe on top of two luggage bags, with a bride and groom topper sitting on them. The table toppers were names of places that the couple had visited either alone or together. The bridesmaids in their blue tube-knee length-dresses were made to wear green scarves of light fabric. The invites contained travel-related terms instead of the usual words, such that guests would feel they really were on a trip. We even made meal tickets looked like bus tickets to conform with the theme.

It was one-helluva ride during the wedding preparations, but we know we would do it again in a heartbeat because it was for one amazing jetsetter bestfriend, and BRIDE!
